Rey Fenix hasn’t been seen in action since January when he and Penta Oscuro took on Jurassic Express for the AEW World Tag Team Titles on Dynamite. Fenix suffered an arm injury when he went through a table.

Since then, Penta has been working as a singles competitor and on Wednesday’s Dynamite, he faced CM Punk. Fans have been waiting to see Lucha Bros back in action, but they won’t have to wait much longer.

Fenix is scheduled to team with AAA Mega Champion Hijo del Vikingo against AEW’s The Young Bucks at AAA TripleMania XXX on April 30th. AAA had previously advertised Fenix’ return for their event in February and then again for an event in Merida, Yucatan in March.

Dave Meltzer mentioned on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio how Fenix stated in a recent interview that he will be returning to action at this show.

“They have a deal with AAA as far as the belts. The belts going back to Triple A. Which…by the way, Fenix did an interview today and said he would be back for TripleMania which is April 30th. We should be seeing Pentagon and Fenix back as a tag team in AEW within a couple of weeks now.”
