You never really need a reason to gather for brunch, but with the weather getting nicer, COVID-19 cases receding in the area and a lot of events happening soon — especially throughout Detroit — huevos rancheros and mimosas with friends has been on my mind lately.
One of the things I look for in a good brunch spot is the ability to accommodate groups. Even if I'm not in a group myself, a big gaggle can throw off the balance of a small restaurant where most of the tables are for two or four diners.
